Basically I've been feeling really low since before giving birth, I finally got the courage to tell my partner & mum & I spoke to the health visitor & she booked me a doctors appointment. I went today & she said I have ppd, ptsd from the pregnancy & birth & I have been having anxiety attacks. Was just wondering if anyone had been through this & reassurance that this will get better 😣 I just want to enjoy being a mum & I feel like I can't right now. Tia xxx

I had PND with my last baby and it's pants but the good news is that the medication works. I started to feel better after two weeks of taking it. I also started reading, exercising and making a point of meeting friends more frequently and going to baby groups. I am a Christian so my prayers and church also helped me. All of these things were gradual as it's almost impossible to do all these things in the early weeks. They put me down for counselling and I found it useful to helo me see why i had developed PND. Unfortunately i had to wait months for that.

Just wanted to reassure you though that the treatment works and you can feel start to feel better quite quickly x
