Hi all
Last week I got diagnosed with postnatal depression my daughter is 10months old and it's been a rough last 6months ,struggling with anxiety, paranoia , guilt and feeling low . I've recently started citalopram and I had to pints last night but today I feel awful . Do they tell you not to drink on them?

Sorry to hear your suffering with PND. I don't think it is recommended to drink on them but the odd drink shouldn't hurt I think it's if you binge drink, I used to drink alcohol whilst taking citrolopram and didn't have any side effects but everyone is different. Has it effected your mood or made you feel poorly? @Cathrobs14 x

When I started taking antidepressants I stopped drinking altogether. I think the official advice is you can drink but for me I was sooooooo depressed the next day it wasnmt worth it.
I miss it sometimes and have the odd drink but that doesn't effect me as much as a bender did.
