Antenatal/postnatal depression

Starting sertraline

My baby is 6 weeks old and I've been holding off starting sertraline.

I've been reassured on the breastfeeding front, but how else did it affect you?

I'm alone with baby 6:7 days a week for 24 hours a day so I'm worried about it affecting my sleep, concentration, generally impairing my ability to care for him Confused

Sertraline is the "easiest" anti-d that I have taken for side effects. I found I had a headache for the first 2 or 3 weeks and may be just a little grogginess in the morning but I've still been able to drive etc so it could have been worse. I take mine in the morning and have just reduced my dosage from 200mg to 150mg after nearly a year taking them. I don't have PND btw but on/off depression and complex PTSD. It would be fair to say they are the "best" anti-ds for me and have had maximum impact with less disruption to my routine.
Good luck Flowers
