Postnatal Depression is a common problem affecting roughly 10% of all mothers in the first year after giving birth. It's often misunderstood and manifests in different ways and at unexpected times. I hope everyone suffering from PND will find this thread useful as a source of support and information. You cannot overshare on here, and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning or venting as much as they feel the need to. No-one on this thread is a substitute for seeing a medically qualified healthcare professional, but please find below some links that might help.

I had great support throughout my pregnancy from the ongoing hyperemesis support thread (I may have stolen some wording from that thread in this post). I was initially fine after the birth, but in the last couple of months PND has hit hard and I was surprised a similar thread didn't exist for such a common problem.

Flowers for all those struggling at the moment.
