Baby citalopram withdrawal

Hello. GP has suggested this as possible cause for my newborn's jitters. A quick Google search reveals it's a documented effect, but I was wondering if anyone had real life experience of this and how it played out. I was on 40mg through pregnancy - so a high dose.

Hi truly, I do not have experience of this but being on citalopram myself and 38 weeks pregnant I would also like to know more about this and hope you get the advice you need x

I was on meds during pregnancy - 150mg of Amytriptylene and 80mg of Propanolol. We were kept in for 72 hours after birth for withdrawal observation (last Feb.) Baby had no withdrawal and was fine.

Wasn't it the same for you? If baby has withdrawal then hospital is where you need to be not GP.

Neither of my babies experienced these jitters. First baby was kept in because he had other (unrelated) problems, second I was home the next day (gave birth at 8pm, home for dinner the next night).
