I'm 31+2 and due to finish work at 36 weeks. I've had over a month off with AN depression from 16 weeks.

I'm really struggling again. My doctor has said he'll happily sign me off for the remainder of my working time but I feel like I should try and get through this last little bit. But I also want to be off. I'm so torn and wound up about this that its making my depression worse!

Would you take the Drs note and go?

Yep. You aren't normally pregnant and so normally work is doable. If you are struggling now definitely take all the support they are offering.

I had huge amounts of my pregnancy off work, hg and then depression I've now got a 6 month old and able to think about work again.
Hope you feel better soon. Kx

Hi legfaced,
I can easily relate to your feelings because I had also gone through the same situation. I was not able to concentrate on anything and I felt extreme irritability. I used to get angry with my in-laws and had gained weight too. Later as per the advice of my doctor, I had attended antenatal education classes in the new mummy company in Toronto. Try to manage your stress and deviate your thoughts in a healthy way. Get engaged in yoga or meditation, attend the relaxation program and follow a healthy diet plan. These are some of the tips to get rid of antenatal depression. All the best.
