Partner suffering from suspected PND

Hi, my partner has been showing signs of PND in the last month. Our child is 18 months old and my partner suffered from PND immediately after the birth but this time it seems to be alot worse as her moods vary from extreme highs to being very low, weepy, obsessive and angry. Her moods can swing either way in the blink of an eye and I am wondering what help is available as she does not want to go don the road of medication and tends to suppress her feelings.
Thank you

Hi OP am no expert on this but definitely worth looking in diet and exercise. Regular exercise in particular known to help depression.

She can also ask her GP to refer her for counselling.

However, if her PND is quite severe then may well need to do this in combination with meds to manage it effectively.

Also does she get out and about enough? And do things she enjoys/ get time to herself? Good balance with childcare, friends and work? (if she works)

What's her sleeping like?

My sleeping was terrible before I went to the gps. I was an insomniac and tired all the time.
