PND second time around

I've just been diagnosed with PND with my second child, at 5 weeks. Had bad PND for the first 9 months with DC1 but was sorted by a course of Sertraline.

GP has prescribed Sertraline again but I'm so scared of the initial side effects I had last time and even more afraid that they won't work this time.

I've taken one tablet and can already feel my anxiety heightening.
Not sure what I'm asking but if anyone has any positive stories that would be a big help.

DS is 10 weeks old.
Been on prozac since week 6.
I feel sooooo much better than at this stage with DD.
Cos I suffered so much with DD (pnd), I was on the alert for any signs of pnd this time.
When it happened, I went to the perinatal psychiatrist monitoring me and started prozac immediately.
Well done on starting sertraline, I hope u feel better v soon.

That's great that you are feeling better.

The side effects have kicked in now, but hopefully they'll only last a few days and so far don't seem as extreme as last time.
