Christmas is great. I love the fact that my dh has two weeks off, kids are all healthy and happy, we have visited pil already, will be with mine Xmas day, but I feel so overwhelmed. It's lovely having the time with dh & dc's but I'm already feeling really down. I should be happy but I'm not so I thought is create a thread for exactly that. All of us out there that are supposed to be happy and just aren't!

God I felt like this yesterday. Dh is off till the 3rd, tree is up and all pretty and we are all ready for Christmas. I love Christmas get super excited every year. But this year I just don't feel it. So tired, dd waking me up every 1-2 hours and its just so overwhelming. Dreading Christmas Day as we are going to fil and there will be 14 of us, and all dh relatives will want to hold baby pass her around and she may oblige but I will pay for it late as she gets so overtired. I'm forseeinghaving to put her in pram and walk her in the cold just as the food arrives. And I bet dh won't offer to help then!

On the other hand it's just another day. I just feel at nearly 4 months I shouldn't still feel like its just one day at a time!

Yep 24 weeks pregnant and got AND I think. Life circumstances are gruelling. First time ever I'm dreading Xmas with my family. Am totally with you both. Want to make it nice for DS but otherwise could really do without it.

I've been, I'm in the same situation. Surely by now it should be getting better. The Christmas party involved baby being passed around and handed back to me to feed, while others poke, prod etc!! I'm expecting much the same on Christmas Day.

Somewhere if it wasn't for the little ones we probably wouldn't bother with much at all! I'm feeling a bit more positive today, I'm hoping it doesn't catch up with me later!!

Just about. A good friend came over for lunch and bought lovely presents for dd but then I couldn't get her to nap so took her out for walk. In the rain. Went to sleep after 15 mins walked another 30 mins and then she woke as soon as I got back to flat and screamed the house down. Took me ages to calm her and my poor childless friend was a bit shocked. Anyway she was then lovely and chuckled away in the bath. Now if she will just go to sleep now.....

Also the chrismas tree lights have fused and won't work now. And I don't think I care!!

Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow and not too stressful xx

Glad to hear you had a more positive day! I wish I had friends to spend time with/ distract me sometimes. I had wrapped everything, expressed milk for little one and am now enjoying a bottle of bubbly! Lets hope the Christmas spirit gets is all! Have a wonderful day. Merry Christmas xx
