I am sure you haven't got dementia but you might have had extreme anxiety which can give you dissociation (feeling like you're not really there and everything is surreal). Please tell the doctor exactly no you are feeling, they will not take your baby but they WILL help you lots.

People cry in doctors surgeries all the time. They are really used to it. Sometimes I go in with a cold and start crying just with the relief that someone is listening to me. So please don't let worrying about crying top you from being really open & honest about how you're feeling.
Now go eat something nice and tasty!

This does sound like extreme anxiety/panic attack - I suffered from this a lot with DS2. I would feel shaky, disorientated and panicky for a while. Definitely try to eat/drink something - it will make you feel better - and remember this is likely to be something that you can get help for.

Can you see the doctor before Friday, or talk to your health visitor? Mine proved to be a wonderful shoulder to cry on.
