Use by date 8th November. Unopened until now. Looks and smells fine.

yes of course it’s fine especially if unopened!!! I’ve eaten yoghurt weeks out of date if the pack hadn’t been opened and it smells and looks good!

fjäl · 11/11/2022 13:21

The yoghurt doesn't know it's out of date.

Ageneralsenseofproundconcern · 11/11/2022 13:23

The longest I’ve used it was three months out of date. No issues. If it’s a big tub it’ll go off fast once opened.

ofwarren · 11/11/2022 13:24

I would with unopened yogurt. It lasts ages.

maximist · 11/11/2022 13:25

I'd eat it next month! It'll be fine - just might need a stir up if it's started to separate.

paintitallover · 11/11/2022 13:39

Yes

Donna1001 · 11/11/2022 13:48

I ate a muller rice yesterday that was dated 31/10. Crack on.

MenaiMna · 11/11/2022 13:49

I just started a bb26 Oct. Yoghurt is already off, that's the point of it. Enjoy!

MenaiMna · 11/11/2022 13:51

And, if you're really worried, jus bake Nigella's recipe for yoghurt cake. No waste & cake!

Dedontdodatderdode · 11/11/2022 13:52

I remember Fiona Phillips saying how she hated waste but that, after spending a night in the bathroom, she won’t ever make the mistake of eating an out of date yogurt again. 🤮
Good luck!

Lcb123 · 11/11/2022 13:53

Of course, dairy shouldn’t even have use by dates. If it smells fine eat it

Luredbyapomegranate · 11/11/2022 13:55

It’s fine.

the lid will blow up and it will taste fizzy when it isn’t

yogurt lasts ages

xogossipgirlxo · 11/11/2022 14:00

I ate yoghurt that was one month past BBE date. I'm not typing it from the grave 😜

NooNakedJacuzziness · 11/11/2022 14:02

Yes, it'll be fine. 3 days is nothing

orbitalcrisis · 11/11/2022 14:03

I ate a yogurt yesterday that was dated 7th October, it was fine. If it had smelled or tasted bad I wouldn't have eaten it.

HeatwaveToNightshade · 11/11/2022 14:08

I make my own yoghurt and sometimes don't manage to eat it all before it goes off. Believe me, if it was off you would smell it a mile away. Have you ever smelt an overused, dirty dishcloth? It's like that🤮

darisdet · 11/11/2022 14:29

If it looks and smells fine then it's probably fine to eat.

DuesToTheDirt · 11/11/2022 15:11

Good grief, I regularly eat yoghurts 2 or 3 weeks out of date. Open it, examine it, taste a small portion. If that's OK you're good to go.

AriettyHomily · 11/11/2022 15:12

Yogurt yes of course, chicken I'd have an issue with but yogurt is definitely fine!

Poppins2016 · 11/11/2022 15:17

I would eat it a month out of date as long as it still smelt normal.
