Deliveroo driving stealing my order?!?

Honeynutcheerios · 11/11/2022 13:21

This woman - Luana - keeps cropping up as my driver. Either she pretends she has a bike problem and someone will be coming to complete the order and then says she’s outside my house but isn’t/or she splits the order into 2 and says another driver is coming. Always it says she’s outside go and meet her and there is never anyone there and of course then she’s not “blamed” for it.

AIBU to be so fucking annoyed?!? Yes I get a refund: but by the time she has dicked around and I reorder, my food has taken 2 hours and I (and sometimes children) are very hungry.

also she is getting away with it!!!! Why is she still employed?!?! I keep complaining/explaining and with evidence

Why are you still using Deliveroo if this keeps happening? I had an UberEats drive steal my food order so I refuse to use them any more.

Skinnermarink · 11/11/2022 13:37

Why do you keep giving her the opportunity ? How often is this happening? It’s very wrong but you must have money to burn if you’re paying Deliveroo’s delivery/service charge this frequently. Are they refunding you?

Somanysocks · 11/11/2022 13:40

I'd probably go to a supermarket and cook my kids' dinners, much more reliable and cheaper.

Badgirlriri · 11/11/2022 13:47

Love the assumptions 😂

do people realise you can have grocery deliveries on deliveroo too!

Yanbu. Can you complain OP?

Harrysnippleno3 · 11/11/2022 13:47

YABU.

Once is a mistake, twice is a 'not using this again'

Why do you keep using a service that doesn't work?

HeatwaveToNightshade · 11/11/2022 13:50

Something similar happened to my SIL a couple of times with Just Eat. After a non delivery the previous week, she was closely watching the live map and simultaneously saw the car driving into the cul de sac through her window. The map quickly switched to 'delivered' as she watched the car do a three point turn and drive away without stopping or delivering anything. She hasn't had much better luck with Uber Eats tbf.

bigfamilygrowingupfast · 11/11/2022 13:50

We had problems with Deliveroo and have never used them since. Just stop using them!

Shesasuperfreak · 11/11/2022 13:51

Tweet deliveroo about it and mention fraud. Say that you think she is using 2 accounts or lying about needing two couriers.

People in my family work for deliveroo and some driver use tactics to make more money.

If she says she needs another courier, which would usually happen if you have heavy orders, another driver will be allocated.

That driver doesn't know that it is a split delivery and will just delivery wheres as the first driver might be at home chilling with a fake GPS.

jane1956 · 11/11/2022 14:24

cook your own food simple

Myownpapillon · 11/11/2022 14:38

This happened to me today, I have COVID so ordered groceries. Delivery was split into two, the first driver said they were outside but weren't there and the second driver had my full order - I have just reported.

2Late · 11/11/2022 14:40

How many Deliveroos do you get per week?

Feysriana · 11/11/2022 14:42

Ask Deliveroo about it on Twitter.

cook your own food simple

Wise up.

jane1956 · 11/11/2022 15:39

HeatwaveToNightshade RUDE? Wise up how? I simply solved the ops problem cook your own and it won't get stolen, also cheaper, fresher and hotter

HeatwaveToNightshade · 11/11/2022 16:06

Take it whatever way you wish @jane1956, but advising someone to cook when they presumably want a break from cooking is patronising and unhelpful. But you must know that ...

jane1956 · 11/11/2022 16:11

she says it happens a lot so hardly need a break @HeatwaveToNightshade so just stop using deliveroo, and cook her own

worraliberty · 11/11/2022 18:22

Have you recently knocked over a sign in Burger King OP?

girlmom21 · 11/11/2022 18:30

It seems strange to me they're giving you refunds every time with no recourse for her. What's their logic?

SavoirFlair · 11/11/2022 18:33

To all the people asking OP “cook meals at home”… when you next have an issue with a restaurant, and you’re on TripAdvisor or here, I hope you enjoy replies of “stop going to restaurants you can’t go wrong with hope cooked food”… absolute jokes , stop getting a kick out of winding people up

back on topic OP

Escalate. Email Deliveroo directly, call, contact UK head office. Show screenshots on Twitter and @ people. Make more noise and they’ll track down the issue

iklboo · 11/11/2022 18:46

so just stop using deliveroo, and cook her own

Deliveroo deliver groceries as well, not just food / takeaways. We use them occasionally if we realise we've forgotten or need something after the local shops close, especially on a Sunday.

Stevie6 · 11/11/2022 20:27

If you have Amazon prime you get free delivery with Deliveroo over a certain amount, £25 I think it is
