the last few days i've been buying stuff in the sales ready for dd's party. now i don't enjoy going round loads of shops, with dd in tow, and spending money.

i like it even less when 3 of my purchases (out of 7) need to be taken back cos they don't work/have the wrong parts etc.

i'm feeling stupid & grumpy cos i'm tired & it's a 'tropical' heat wave out there. now i have to trek back to 2 shops to return things.

and i just want to cry that i can't get my brand new composter together as there aren't the right screws & fittings.

Not unreasonable. It annoys the hell out of me too.

YANBU.

A few of ds2's borthday presents had bits missing. I rang the manufacturers who were amazingly good at sending out missing/replacement parts.

Might be worth a try?

YADNBU. It drives me bonkers when finally get round to actually buying something that we need that it falls apart/has bits missing/doesn't do what it's supposed to.

Makes me yearn for the certainty of Woolies and the '70s.

i'll be able to sort things out - but it has been in the 90s & even walking to the shop from the car is too hot! just want to stay home.

have decided that enough is enough for now. wine is in the fridge, have just had a water fight washed the car with dd.
