I believe I posted the same exactly a year ago
Anyway, since my lovely landlord has decided to turf us out we are back on the letting agent circuit. Not much about so we may not get to be picky about who we use. I called up one agent who quoted the letting fee then added on £50 to register your deposit with the DPS!!!!!!!!!! Stated as if this was a great boon they were conferring - Erm, no, it's a legal requirement, and it's free for you to do, so why the £50 fee? Bloody, fucking, profiteering racket.

On the subject - why are there so few rental properties available now? Are landlords back to trying to sell rather than rent? Surely prices haven't recovered that much? There were loads this time last year

Could it be any changes that may or may not be coming in soon due to the LibCervatives?

Putting people off renting out I mean 'till they find out what is going on.

Maybe. Maybe people are trying to sell before things change - were there any budget shockers for homeowners?
