saw them in the shop today.
dd loves wheatabix, and it is still ds's comfort food if ill.
always thought of it as a healthy breakie.the idea of them being chocolate seems wrong....

Where can I get me some of this magical sounding stuff? (YABU)

flibbertigibbert · 06/07/2010 17:47

Do you mean normal Weetabix but chocolate flavoured?

Or the mini ones with chocolate chips? The mini ones are lovely but incredibly sugary

muggglewump · 06/07/2010 17:49

YABU.
It's food, it all has a place in a healthy, balanced diet.

I wouldn't eat it, I don't have a sweet tooth and surely wheetabix is wood shavings but DD likes it, so she can have it.

I balance her diet.

bubblerock · 06/07/2010 17:58

yuk! Weetabix can't be chocolate - it would be vile with the amount of butter I put on my weetabix!

shimmerysilverglitter · 06/07/2010 18:04

Don't agree.

There is about three chocolate chips in each one and my ds (ASD and beyond fussy) will eat it for which I am grateful. It is either that or Chocolate Chip Cookie Cereal (yuk!) so it is a good compromise for us.

belly36 · 06/07/2010 18:06

I'd rather have a bowl of Cocopops

saltyseadog · 06/07/2010 18:07

YABU - weetabix and chocolate are two of my favourite foods.

Pancakeflipper · 06/07/2010 18:11

One thing my children deplore about me is that I will not let them have chocolate cereals at breakfast.

I have this mad theory that if we start with chocolate then we will crave sugary food types all day... Well I know I do......

They'd like to move in with any kind mummy who will serve them such delights.....

2shoes · 06/07/2010 18:16

no no no
this is proper wheatabis, but now chocolate, not the mini ones.

so do you think dd would like them?

I don't suppose you noted the %sugar?

Its reckoned you should aim for

TheBolter · 06/07/2010 18:26

Must admit I am really anti chocolate and sugary cereals. I think they're unnecessary as well as unhealthy. Even Cheerios are unhealthy IMO - they're crusted with sugar glaze.

I think sweet cereals are a slippery slope.

Oh fgs, why have I been alerted to this on the day I didn't go to Sainsbos?
