Was cleaning and tidying out kitchen cupboards this weekend. Two of the drawers hade come apart at the back. DH not there so I used his woodwork glue and mended them and put them back. DH came home and asked why his glue was out. I told him. 'There's no point. It won't stick properly without clamping it for hours' said DH in his 'I am a man and a carpenter and you know NOTHING about this' voice.

24 hrs later drawers still firmly fixed

Nice one Orm!

Thank you!

I've even opened the drawers quite hard and shaken them about and they are still mended.

Three cheers for Orm!
It doesn't surprise me though - speaking as an extremely proficient flatpack builder I know women are extremely good at this sort of thing.
It is encoded in our chromosomes. Our brains are wired differently dontcha know.

Oh.

I thought this was going to be a thread about mending drawers and that the mending of same resulted in an embarrassing situation narrowly averted. Hence the smugness.

Anyway, YANBU.

Ooh no it wouldn't be about mending that sort of drawers - can't see to thread a needle these days
