We're wanting to swap broadband and telephone provider, simples as the adverts say or so I thought!!!
Rang my broadband provider Pimples or something like that, on hold for 25 minutes and they refused to give me the MAC code until I had discussed all my options with their cancellations team. So another 25 minutes on hold until I then got the hard sale and was pretty much told in a patronising tone that I would not find a better deal (which I have!), to which I cracked and shouted at the phone "just give me the f^&king code!!!" They then give me the code to which the new providers have said a digit is missing AAARRRGG!
AIBU that a communications company ought to be able to deal with customers quickly, efficiently and accurately???!!
All I wanted was a code to swicth providers! Its not alot to ask for and I'd already done my research into whom is offering me the best new deal. I'm going to weep gently now and stare at the bottle of gin in our cupboard which I can't have as I'm 23 weeks pregnant!
