To think that people who HAVE to drive in bare feet are a bit odd?

Why? They didn't learn or pass their test in bare feet did they?

I don't really care what other people do, to be honest, but I went on a trip with some colleagues yesterday, and the woman driving made such a bloody fuss about taking her shoes off 'ooh I sinply can't drive with shoes on, I have to have bare feet to feel the pedals with'

Just made her look daft.

Hmmm, so I am one of just a few people who can drive in whatever shoes they happen to be wearing at the time then?

Honestly, the thing with flipflops is....instead of glueing your heel to the floor to use the clutch and break/accelarator, just move your foot upwards iyswim? Then you won't have any of the problems previous posters described when they said they got their flipflops wedged etc.

I'm with you Charlieknows - I just get in and drive!
