Long time lurker, first time poster. I am downstairs cooking dinner and MNing. Have a horrible headache which is now beginning to go into queasy stomach territory too. Have taken painkillers but not working yet. DH is upstairs hammering, sawing and in general making as much noise as he possibly can.

AIBU to want to (affectionately) strangle him? Any ideas on other, less violent, things I could do?

err i maybe stating the obvious but cant you just go and ask him to stop?

No, less violence is not the answer, strangling definitely appropriate here. Unless he doesn't know you have a headache?

Oh i think this is a situation that calls for 'random female tears' get him to finish tea and decamp to the sofa.

Would have asked him to stop but it needs to be done asap in order to clear junk spare room as visitors coming over from the States soon. Thankfully he is eating dinner now and I've been promised that he only has 5 more minutes of noise left to make.
