..... just keep your knickers on your head, and no-one will notice the grey hair.

Blonde highlights did save my life but I wish I was still a natural dark and glossy

YANBU. I've dyed my hair for years anyway, but the number of greys coming through in my roots is frightening!! I'm 30 but my mum went grey early too so I guess it's genetic....

pebblejones · 01/07/2010 11:59

Sympathies, me too... starting greying at 20, now 33 and am considering going blonde just so I don't have to colour it so often, unfortunately I think it'll look odd though because my natural hair colour is quite dark... I'm also going to have to start dyeing my eyebrows soon
Having said that my Mum (who I inherited this greyness from) is now in her 50s and has lovely white hair, it doesn't look old ladyish at all it really suits her!

SexyDomesticatedDad · 01/07/2010 12:02

Been greying too since about 17/18 - but at least still have hair - the other option is not so good!

SloanyPony · 01/07/2010 12:04

Grey is chic.

Look at this

You can be one of these women in a decade or two - properly grey all over but still with lovely skin and good looks to set off the contrast.

Grey rocks!

BunnyLebowski · 01/07/2010 12:09

Grey is not chic when you're in your twenties or early thirties. It's ageing and frumpifying.

I'm just 30 and have had greys for about 5 years. I now have about 20% grey and dye it every 3-4 weeks.

My hair is very dark naturally and I've found that dying it red covers the grey really well and looks lovely.

I have to use 2 boxes of dye and leave it on for an hour and a half-2 hours.

If I have to I will dye it every other day rather than go grey.

I've had grey hairs since 14yrs old!..it runs in the family,my dad had a grey patch at the front of his hair at 19 so I think I got off lightly..but as SDD said at least you are not a baldy ..I have dyed my hair for the first time ever last year..actually its been nice..I was never worried about my greys just did for a change..but now I'm quite addicted!

I am looking forward to a full white head of hair though..seems rather cool
