and it happens to co-incides with dinner time, and one of the children drops ice cream on the dining chair (fabric seats) that you should get something and wipe the said ice cream off, rather than leaving it and then sending them a text 2hrs later to say "btw DS2 dripped ice cream on his chair"????/

Well, I would and you would, but you've got to remember that this is your XH and he doesn't seem to live in the real world.

Bloody annoying though - bet it's really sticky and will be a right pita to clean now.

So in answer to your question - no YANBU!

I don't understand how he has become so odd.
You laways used to say he was a good dad.
What does he do with himself all day btw?

toccatanfudge · 29/06/2010 22:52

yep mmon - he did used to be a good dad that was one thing I could rarely fault him on.

have no idea what he does with himself all day

moon that should of course read no mmon

I shall say nothing - I've managed to twist his arm to come and sit with them on Thursday night so I can go out for a meal with my BF and friends for BF's birthday.......he's likely to suddnely be "busy" if I say anything.

Very annoying though - and there was food and ice cream wrappers all over the floor when I got in (not unusal given my DS's)l..........

but goddamit I only cleaned in here earlier

Is it because he is still unwell?
Can you not rationally discuss his lack of involvement?Just seems so weird.

toccatanfudge · 29/06/2010 22:58

no I think he's just turned into a lazy arse - his mates only see their kids once a fortnight and don't give a f*ck about them otherwise, they sit on their arses all day - he's "one of the lads"

tried to rationally discuss it with him on Saturday night - turned into a row.

cba - he's a twat.

Oh bloody hell.
Even worse when a good 'un turns bad.
i feel for you.

toccatanfudge · 29/06/2010 23:08

yup - still I'm shot of him now

and as I said to him on the phone the other night (when he tried to tell me it wasn't about the children it was between us - I'd rungly PURELY to talk about the children)

"I don't give a shit about you I only care about the boys"

Still my lovely boys are turning out just fine and dandy so he's the one missing out and not me.
