Horrid Journey home

Must have a wee rant.

On my way home tonight a 20 minute journey at most.

Some silly cow came the wrong way up the one way system at about 30 miles ph in the car park and stopped within about an inch of ramming me, she then refused to back up until I shouted out the window at her. She then flicked me the bird as I had to pass her.

Then 5 mins later I was turning right where there is a bus lane which cuts across the front of the junction and some idiot comes speeding up the bus lane and nearly rams me in the side.

The next road is really narrowed by parked cars and there is only space for cars to pass if they stop for each other-almost every person decided to jostle and push forward. Cue much backing up and to-ing and fro-ing. Along the whole damn road, normally it's no issue along there.

Then there was a massive lorry on the miniroundabout that was having to manouvre to change direction-queue of traffic for about 10 mins

The i let a woman out of a parking space on the side of the road, she must have left a pile of paperwork on her roof because as she pulled away load of brown mainilla envelopes fell on my car windscreen. I beeped her but she just drove off ahead. I had to get out and remove them because they were obscuring my vision. I got a bloke behind me who shouted "WTF ARE YOU DOING-IF YOU CANT DRIVE GET OFF THE F*KING ROAD. HONESTLY WOMEN LIKE YOU SHOULD BE STERILISED IN CASE YOU SPAWN SOMETHING AS THICK AS YOU"

All the time my little daughter was in the back of the car.

Must be the heat, I cant belive all of those things happened at once!

Bloody hell look on the bright side your home and hopefully have a bottle of chilled wine waiting for you.

Do you have blonde hair? I'm only enquiring because as a woman driver with blonde hair i have very similar experiences on a daily basis...it's like the other drivers cotton on to the whole blonde stereotype and think you must be a silly woman with little driving ability and the highway code goes out the window, cars just put out on me on roundabouts and junctions when it's my right of way as a matter of course.

whoneedssleepanyway · 28/06/2010 20:23

that sounds hideous....that is why i hate driving.

People react like this to me all the time because my car looks like a soviet tank that a tramp lives in (I think it has character!)

Its their problem, not yours. I have contemplated pre-written 'WANKER' signs to hold out of the window.
