So I've just got back from a friends with my 2 dc, their were playing nicely on the trampoline and jumping in and out of a water sprinkler the 3 kids were getting on great and of course making a little bit of noise screaming (fun screaming not pain or fustration)and shouting, making up games and such, when there was a knock at the door, the woman from over the back came to ask if we could keep the kids quiet because it was making her dog yap, this same dog yaps at silly hours of the night when we friends dd is trying to sleep.

Is it just me who wants to tell her to control her stupid mutt or AIBU? Just curious. [:-)]

My neighbor knocked on my door and told me to keep my music down (which I sometimes play during the day), I thought she has a cheek when she and her partner bang, hammer, stomp and even allow their kid to play past 7pm up until 1am every night!!

So imo, YANBU.

You're friend should have confronted her there and then about her dog though.

YANBU.

I hope you told her to go away.

Anyone that complains about the sound of children playing IS a miserable idiot.

She's lucky she didn't knock on my door!

And she should be able to control her dogs, or take them inside.

Children are more important than animals.
I am infuriated on your behalf!

fyimate · 30/06/2010 16:12

I have seen too many people put their animals before children.
I knew someone who grew up with many animals and their mother loved them more than people and she would say it openly too. Sad thing was, she treated her animals better than her own children!
