whilst hanging the mirror that i said he shouldn't hang as it's really tricky and that i'd get the builder to do it tomorrow.

waaaiils.

and how awful is it to replace a huge tile...do you have to replaster (this tile is 900mm long) everytime i look at my sink i'll get the rage...or is it little job that only needs touching up?

Should just lift out, be easy enough.

We're getting a new bathroom too and have been advised to keep a few of each tile as spares for replacement if any get chipped.

Off topic but where did you get mirror ?? I was at the prices, caved in and paid £100 chuffin quid in the end !

it's a lovely huge one with a brushed steel (v wide) frame (it is heavy hence chip). i bought it in habitat about 10 years ago and it's served well. until today. when it chipped my beautiful tile. with dh's help.

can't you get it covered on teh insurance? Or is it not worth it?

Ours was just from a bathroom thingy, builder should be able to sort it, if he's a decent sort like mine he won't charge extra ( he's building me a huge floor to ceiling storage thingy for no extra charge, i'm just buying materials ) I heart my plumber/ joiner thingy man !
