As I CBA cooking because I got a little drunk during the England game? DD1 asked about half an hour what was for tea, so I've made them ham and lettuce barms. They did have hotdogs and burgers when the match was on.

I bought a pack of 24 lagers earlier, and there's only 10 left. There's only me and DH who've been drinking them. DH is currently passed out asleep in the garden. I think when the kids go to bed in an hour I'll be going too.

DS would eat ham sandwiches for every meal if I would let him.

My two always ask for sandwiches when I ask what they want for tea....I ask them whenever I CBA to cook! They're happy, I'm happy so yay for happy people

Eeek at the lager though!!

WillowM2B · 27/06/2010 18:48

Disgraceful.

Mind you, probably the only way to enjoy that shambles of a match was to get merry.

Sn0wflake · 27/06/2010 18:48

They were small bottles right? Not large cans??!

KarmaAngel · 27/06/2010 18:51

Ordinary size cans. Thinking of it though I think I had maybe 4 or 5 DH consumed A LOT! The kids are now throwing things at him and putting pegs on pants.

lazarusb · 27/06/2010 19:07

As long as your children are happy and fed, I wouldn't worry. Drowning my sorrows as I type!

pjmama · 27/06/2010 19:11

lovechoc · 27/06/2010 19:22

nothing wrong with sandwiches on a hot day like this!!

NestaFiesta · 28/06/2010 11:54

YANBU.I think if they'd had a hot lunch, its OK to give them a cold evening meal. In this weather it doesn't matter. Getting them to eat anything whilst its this hot is good and ham and lettuce barms sounds healthy to me.

That much alcohol would really affect me,especially in hot weather, but I guess you know your limits and it doesn't sound like a regular thing.

Nothing wrong with sandwiches for lunch and supper on the odd occasion. Especially if you use wholemeal bread, leanish meat and something of a salady variety (or insist on fruit or fruit juice).

I hope your head's ok this morning.
