to try online dating when I'm new to computers?

I only got a pc in October 09. I only got proper bb last month. I am generally naive and trusting but I now have a good network of mates who can vet/manshop for me.

I find people interesting. I find men fragile!
Is it worth giving it a go or should I wait and see what happens naturally? (Recent disaster there, though, so not sure about that.

So, force it in cyberspace or wait another 5 years for an acceptable man and refuse to settle?

New to computers is fine.

New to "predatory arseholes" on dating sites is quite another. Get an experienced friend to gently guide you through and decode these messages.

E.g., "looking for someone as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside" means he's looking for an 18 year old underwear model who laughs at his jokes and doesn't notice he's driving a 6 year old Mondeo.

"Busy work schedule" = married.

Etc., etc.

There are lots of really lovely, wonderful men out there - but there are also a lot of men cheating on their partners or of course just plain "oddballs". The trick is being able to filter the good ones!

PS I met my fella online and I'm 36 weeks pregnant and very happy - so it's not all bad!

I have met a lot of arseholes on dating sites who just wanted a shag. You need an experienced guide - however I persevered and am 6 months into a relationship and very much in love with a someone I met online and am the happiest I have been in years.

Go for it - but wear a very thick skin, good luck

Thick skin growing apace - but which dating site is best - the one I'm on wants £114! For anything more than a first message then sends me stuff from old men! The age criteria seem to be ignored completely!!
