Oh yeah and DS said the other day "Why do you always have to show me?"

catherinewho · 24/06/2010 18:21

Spots are good too :O

RomillyJane · 24/06/2010 18:23

ds1 has THE most magnificent pimples and can often be pesuaded to swap a squish for an hour of computer time

diamondsandtiaras · 24/06/2010 18:23

I do have a cat tulips.........unfortunately he is a miserable bugger and swipes with his claws out if I start messing with him. V unreasonable of him if you ask me

StealthPolarBear · 24/06/2010 18:23

yes, especially the baby palm creases...lovely
Couldn't do it to non family though - urgh

trixie123 · 24/06/2010 18:24

yep, love it too but ds hates it and cries

secunda · 24/06/2010 18:28

I can pick fleas off cats without looking, just FEELING with my fingertips [achievement]

honeydragon · 24/06/2010 18:28

ooooh I forgot ingrown hairs, get a needle under it and pull up the loop, you never know how long it will be either ,quivers at the excitement of just seeing one>

was gutted that when taught dh the correct way to remove them he does them himself - selfish bastard

AmazingBouncingFerret · 24/06/2010 18:37

Ahhh yes. Have to persuade DS to let me sort his ears out now, usually under the pretence that I am Mummy Doctor and he is the patient with poorly ears.

I love when my nephew comes round because that boy seems to produce an extraordinary amount of earwax.

I paid my niece £10 to let me comb her headlice out of her hair... Actually come to think of it I think I still owe her that.. Whoops!

Also why do babies have such huge bogies??
Soooo satisfying to pick DD nose!

positivepolly · 24/06/2010 20:10

YANBU - DP loves squeezing my spots, especially whiteheads, and I love to pluck his rouge hairs in his beard after he's used the electric shaver. Wierdly satisfying!!!

TulipsInTheSunshine · 25/06/2010 18:49

ds1, bless his cotton socks, just wandered over and said 'Mommy, can you pick all the bits off my scab please?'

now if only dp and his pimply face were as well trained

Flisspaps · 25/06/2010 19:42

Oh, it's so good to know I'm not alone!

twolittlemonkeys · 25/06/2010 19:48

Hahahaha I thought it was just me! Earwax (DH & DS1), bogeys (DC not DH), spots & blocked pores(DH) and random stray hairs - they've gotta go!

MrsJamin · 25/06/2010 20:00

I put my own spit in DS2's belly button today (he is 4 MO). A few minutes later I had the satisfaction of being able to get out the crusty dirty skin out of it

Also I've recently found out the best way to get DS1 (2.5YO) to blow his nose is to get him to blow into a tissue then open it up to show him how gross his bogeys are ... I love having boys!

marriednotdead · 25/06/2010 20:22

Guilty as charged and so glad am not the only one. I'd never admit to it in RL
Dcs too unreasonable old to do most of these now although ds sometimes asks me to squeeze a spot.
I tell him we really shouldn't whilst sitting on my hands

lorelilee · 25/06/2010 20:50

It's instinctive, isn't it. My sister and I fight over my children for 'grooming'rights! (I am a working mum and she helps OH during the week).

BelleDameSansMerci · 25/06/2010 20:56

You're all v odd... My own spots etc, yes. Anyone else's - yeuch. I have to force myself to do my DD's.

DinahRod · 25/06/2010 20:57

Can't resist peely skin

Dh likes squeezing spots and getting splinters out.

kitty4paws · 26/06/2010 01:34

ooohh this thread has cheered me up !!

I though I was the only one,

DS had two small spots that lasted for weeks on his tummy ( he had fallen in the garden )

I eventually bribed him with a biscuit so I could "get the infection out " one biscuit per spot , he's a dealer in the making.

But ooohhh I did enjoy it .

I actually find it quite hard to have a converstaion with someone who has a spot "ready to go" on their face or neck, all I can think about is popping it , I'm so , so sad, but I would never admit it IRL ,

thank you for this thread !! I feel cleansed !!!
