to consider whether the sock monster is... gulp... real?

Because I was unable to find ONE pair of socks for dd today. Dd and ds share socks.

I managed to find 9 individual socks. But not one pair.

Now the kids are happy to wear odd socks and I mostly don't care but occasionally they could do with matching ones (or at least ones that sort of co-ordinate).

So where have all the socks gone?

Is there actually a sock monster in our house? And does he enjoy hair-clips too?

We're not too bad on socks at the moment. We just recently had a sock throw-out and bought all new ones. However, I did notice yesterday that there was one odd sock in the washing so maybe he's back.

A bit OT but - I got my new socks at M&S, they have L & R on the soles. So not only do I have to match the type of sock, I now have to make sure they're not two lefties or righties. I bet I'll end up with loads of left socks in a few weeks.

Are you talkin' to ME?!

Well, yes - it seems so

Could we have our socks back? You can keep the hideous Angelina Wankelina one dd's nanna bought, but can we have the (second-hand) stripy Boden ones back please?

Thank you.
