To want to throw next door's garden rubbish back in their garden!

Next door this week put an old shrub and a bag of garden rubbish in the shared back lane. They have a car, we are 5 mins from a council tip.

There is no way the bin men will take this stuff away so it will lie there spoiling the usually tidyish back lane for everyone else - possibly for months.

I feel like sneaking out and chucking it back into their garden. Alternatively I could just ask them about it in a sensible mature way - but they are a bit strange ( that's a whole other thread though)

put it in their wheelie bin perhaps?

dont you have a garden waste collection?

JacobBlacksBitch · 23/06/2010 21:09

do it - I dare you. It annoys me intensley. Just don't get caught.

A business dumped a whole of of empty boxes on the path to our flats (where they would never be collected & where they had previously left loads of building rubbish which caused major issues for ages - someone fly tips & before you know it everyone adds their bit). I knocked on the door - turns out they were an art gallery having an 'opening night' (in basement on suburban st). I politely & discretely asked them to remove the boxes & she flat out denied they were anything at all with them & she was insulted I insinuated they were. So I showed her photo of boxes on my phone - WITH HER ADDRESS ALL OVER THEM.

Wish I'd just chucked them over the fence - in the name of art!

then again they'd probably just throw it back - so for your sanity prob better to report it as suggested above.
My council has an online flytipping hotline - you can even pinpoint on google earth exactly where the items are.

YANBU to want to, YANBU if you did.

No we don't have garden waste collection unfortunately, most people have small yards with a bit of greenery so we are not deemed suitable for the green bins.

I just can't stand the mindset of chucking it out of their garden as they don't want to look at it but spoiling everyone elses. So selfish.

Will ring the council - though it galls me, to do something they could do themselves, useless gits.

you could report them for fly-tipping!

' most councils will do a free uplift of large or bulky items.'
really ? Our council charges £16 per item
