Don't do well with the heat at the best of times but at the moment, am 3 days overdue with DC3 so not sleeping well and experiencing the merry joys of multi site chafing.

And then there's the hayfever......... oh, the EVIL hayfever. Just moved to a semi rural area and am suffering more than I imagined possible.

A few days rain would sort everything out good and proper! But no, just watched weather report and have seen it's about to get even hotter this week and pollen count in this area to remain very very high.

ARSE!

YANBU. Can't be long now (till rain, or till DC3 arrives )

It pisses with rain MOST of the year, is grey and cloudy and horrible, and the cardigans have to be out and worn in full force in like, August. FFS...YAMOSTDEFBU!!!!

mrsmindcontrol · 21/06/2010 16:20

Yes, Eve, I know and most of the time the rain pisses me off as much as the next person but for gawd's sake, woman, aren't I suffering enough????

I was going to say you are DWBU (damn well BU) but given your current situation, I'll let you off as long as it only rains at NIGHT

LutyensCBA · 21/06/2010 16:38

While I sympathise with you (also pg, though still in second trimester and not carrying that much extra weight), I have to say YABU. It is soooo nice to have such a long spell of sunshine and warm weather. I don't remember anything comparative in the last 4 years.

Logically I know the rain has to come at some point, but hopefully not too soon. Long may the sun shine

EveWasFramed10 · 21/06/2010 16:43

Oh, mrs...I missed the part about 3 days overdue with DC...in that very case, YANBU...I will do a little cool down raindance for you!!

I hope DC comes soon!!

bigfishlittlefishcardboardbox · 21/06/2010 17:06

Everything is amplified when you're overdue! I hope you cool down soon and baby pops out.

count yourself lucky. Where I am it's not got above about 12 degrees this summer yet!

mrsmindcontrol · 21/06/2010 20:31

where are you bigfish? 12 degrees sounds heavenly. Let's swap places. You're welcome to have the free run of my hot pollen filled house as long as you don't mind looking after the kids from hell my darling sons for the next few weeks.

yanbu - we need rain desperately. Reaching drought conditions in parts of the country.
Today I saw two magpies squabbling over drinking from a small puddle left by car wash people in a supermarket carpark.

nagoo · 21/06/2010 20:40

I agree with sassybeast. You can have your rain at night
