It's on in the background...I've never seen it before so hadn't realised how god awful it is. She is very pretty and all that, and I normally love homey cooking programmes...but she is just so smug and simpering.

I've never watched it but I think it's a good general rule not to trust a skinny cook. Nigella can be a bit annoying with all that finger licking and coy looks at the camera, but at least she looks like she eats food.

She is awful! And allegedly was sent for cooking lessons before doing the programme.

I rather enjoyed the programme, thought all the recipes were easy to follow and loved her kitchen, really 'homely'.

I think she seems like a really nice woman but the programme is shocking. It is very cringey with the poetry readings and the mooning about the place. She isnt a cook and I can learn nothing useful from her. I dont blame her for doing it tho, she must have made a fortune for doing not very much (apart from making arse of herself).

I am afraid that I view this along the same lines as replacing Arleen (sp?) Phillips on SCD. Asking someone decorative to do a job they know nothing about instead of having someone with technical knowledge/experience who may not look so gorgeous floating around a vintage china shop. Poor show.
