YANBU but only if you take chocs and wine in there with you. (Personally I would have some music and sing along a bit too....)

MrsSawdust · 18/06/2010 19:29

Great suggestions - the music should drown out the inane football chanting coming from downstairs ...

England are playing?!?!?!?!?

YANBU

piscesmoon · 18/06/2010 19:39

It sounds a very sensible alternative.

bluecardi · 18/06/2010 19:42

You can go on the findmypast family research site for free in the england games

kiwichicka · 18/06/2010 19:46

YANBU Im thinking of doing the same. I cant stand that constant sound of what im convinced sounds like the pitch is being invaded by an mass swarm of angry bees[grin. Besides im more of a rugby fan [runs away before getting yelled at]!!

piscesmoon · 18/06/2010 19:46

really bluecardi? I will give it a try-thanks.

bluecardi · 18/06/2010 19:48

I think so piscesmoon - read it somewhere. Will check

piscesmoon · 18/06/2010 19:51

Unfortunately you had to register by midnight last night-I am going to register for next time-thanks.

diamondsandtiaras · 18/06/2010 19:51

YANBU.........I'm eschewing the england match for MN

bluecardi · 18/06/2010 19:52

Sorry - Just checked - you had to have registered yesterday www.findmypast.co.uk/world-cup.jsp

toothgenie · 18/06/2010 19:54

I've had a wonderful idea, I'm going to go on a dating site and look at the profiles who are online now. They'll get a wink from me. I know they may be multi tasking but I think that's unlikely eh?

piscesmoon · 18/06/2010 20:20

thanks so much bluecardi-I discovered that because I was registered at one point I am still registered and it works!

Cretaceous · 18/06/2010 20:34

Blimey, is it on? No wonder the house is so quiet! Nobody's told me to get off the computer .

bluecardi · 18/06/2010 20:43

That's lucky piscesmoon!

saslou · 18/06/2010 21:16

You are not missing much. Their performance is fucking awful!

Rosebud05 · 18/06/2010 21:34

I just nipped to Sainsbury's; it did occur to me that there were hardly any men there .

Marjee · 18/06/2010 21:59

Yanbu, wish I'd done the same. When did Rooney become so shit?

BigBadMummy · 18/06/2010 22:01

I snuck upstairs with the laptop and lay on the bed catching up with Brothers and Sisters and some old episodes of House.

Spose I should go back down now it is all over but I really cannot be arsed.
