breaks down and all their food goes off really quickly?

I was parked in tesco's carpark and came back from doing the shopping to find that some idiot has hit my car and broken the brackets on my bumper. According to the man on the customer service desk they dont even have cctv in the car parks.

My car has been regularly hit by idiots who use my road as a rat run so you have my sympathy.
My belief that karma will deal with them appropriately also keeps me from the funny farm.
May their gaskets rot...

Even if they had CCTV in the carpark, most insurers won't fight supermarket carpark claims - my friend's car was hit by someone in a supermarket carpark, and she had CCTV footage and witnesses showing it was not her fault. The insurer refused to fight and she ended up having to accept half the blame.

Ridiculous!

And yes - hopefully they will get their comeuppance!

Its ridiculous. I am still fuming this morning. Thankfully dh is handy with cars, otherwise it would be a trip to a garage and would cost me a hell of alot more.

Looks like I need a new bumper though after closer inspection dh has said that both sides of the bumper have had the brackets sheared

I work in insurance, in motor claims, and Galena-whoever your friend is insured with are clearly rubbish!

We would fight it if we had CCTV and witnesses-we want our money back! Thats our profit at the end of the day, lol.

tots2ten it's awful isn't it. Happens a lot unfortunatly but doesn't make it better or acceptable! x

We had someone drive into our open door (I was putting DS1 into his car seat), CCTV showed their car reversing towards our door, then it went out of shot, by the time the camera came back round you could see their car pulling forward.

If she'd have been 10cm closer to our car she'd have squashed me, 10 seconds earlier, never mind me, DS1 would have been there too.

Accepted she was responsible at the scene, gave us her contact details etc. and even despite our insurers trying to contact her she never paid a penny. £800 for a new door and respray.

Can you tell I am still a leeeetle bit pissed off at that woman?!

nataliejane i am on your behalf.

dh has made the bumper secure for now, but it will need to be relaced soon
