All afternoon the lad (late teens I guess) who lives opposite and three of his mates have been haring around on one of those stupid little motorbikes (not electric......proper engine and everything and goes bloody fast!!). They're riding it up and down the path that runs alongside my house. It's making a racket which has stopped DD2 napping all afternoon and they could potentially really hurt someone........it's a footpath that everyone who lives in my little cul-de-sac has to walk along to get to the road.

I don't want to antagonise my neighbours but am getting increasingly peed off!!!!

I've just seen a lad on one of those & debated the same thing. I was then passed by a police van that didn't bother stopping so I didn't report it as they couldn't have missed him.

They wont usually bother because if they speed off the police wont give chase if they are not wearing helmets, as they say its to dangerous.

our police take them away and crush them.

If it were me and I could report anonymously I would do it in a flash. The damn things are supposed to be MOT'd and taxed and everything, btw.

I think you should ring the police - but don't expect instant action. The police will log your call, and the more calls they log, the greater police presence in your neighbourhood.

We have an almost ever-present police helicopter round here.

diamondsandtiaras · 17/06/2010 17:19

I'm thinking the police wouldn't need to give chase cos the little shit so and so lives opposite me. I just don't want recriminations tbh........could do without a neighbourly dispute!

I'd report, one zoomed out behind me in a car park whilst I was reversing, he was not paying any attention just showing off to his mates, I nearly hit him and it scared the life out of me. Eejit.

I've reported bikes near in the park near us. They were going up and down a winding woodland path and freaked my dog out.
