Don't you hate it when you call up a customer service line, explain the problem when they ask and then they sound as though they weren't listening in the slightest and ask you to repeat it?

pardon?

CheeeseOnToast · 17/06/2010 15:57

I think you'll find that's "what?", SEA

pagwatch · 17/06/2010 15:59

eh?

Hullygully · 17/06/2010 15:59

You mean you actually manage to get through to a real live living person?

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2010 15:59

I was typing that as I was on the phone so it probably didn't make a lot of sense anyway.

But what I want to do is scream "YOU ASKED ME A QUESTION, I ANSWERED"

You need to say 'Which part did you miss?'

That confuses them

Gibbon · 17/06/2010 16:05

That's because you obv gave an answer that deviated from the possible customer answers listed on their script.

It throws them everytime.

jendaisy · 17/06/2010 16:06

You're not contacting Talktalk are you by any chance?

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2010 16:14

no, local furniture store
BGibbon that'sd it exactly. I have the same when I say my surname, they must have a tickbox "Smith, Jones, Brown" and if you say anything other than that it's as if you've sworn down the phone!

I know stealth, it's so bloody infuriating isn't it.

You end up losing the will to live.

jazzchickens · 17/06/2010 19:14

By the time I get through to an actual person, answered my half a dozen "secret" questions, given my date of birth and postcode............I've forgotten what I was going to say anyway!
