AIBU to let ds age 4 continue to believe the hoover will suck up his toys.

He saw me suck a few broken crayons up the hoover and seems to think the hoover will suck all toys up including his 4foot teddy bear .

This means once the hoover starts ds picks all his toys up, aibu to not point out to him that most toys are to big to be put in the hoover .

No Way YANBU... keep it up

differentID · 17/06/2010 15:59

nope- keep it going for as long as possible!

PlumBumMum · 17/06/2010 16:01

Yanbu DS is still suspicious at 6 it brilliant

LimaCharlie · 17/06/2010 16:02

YANBU in our house ANYTHING left on the floor gets hoovered up - they get a five minute warning first though and then on it goes

Ingles2 · 17/06/2010 16:02

nope...good practice for when his toys easily disappear up the hoover. I've hoovered many a piece of lego/magnetix/knex

sophdan · 17/06/2010 16:02

How old is your DS?

It may be a stage he is going through.
Just tell him that mummy will try not to suck his stuff up the hoover again.

I wouldn't worry about it to much, he will learn as he gets older not to worry about such things.

slushy06 · 17/06/2010 16:02

I have even been known to get the hoover out just because the toys are everywhere . I don't do that often though I think I have done it maybe twice.

YANBU - if it's not true at the moment, it will be soon, which is close enough

slushy06 · 17/06/2010 16:05

He is not overly concerned and it actually means that no toys get sucked up the hoover because he picks them all up.

Oh no Ingles2 I am dreading the Lego phase.

slushy06 · 17/06/2010 16:08

EPBAB I may have to use that one myself ds hates brown bread, loves brown pasta and rice but hates brown bread.
