to think you must be ridiculously tight to try and squeeze out and re use a single sheet of kitchen towel.

I just don;t know who would do that?

if there is something spilt then surely you would pull a few sheets off and mop it up. if you needed more then you would pull a couple more sheets off. not go to the sink and try and squueze the initial one out.

am i so awfully wastefull? does everyone else do this?

Think they're going for the environmental angle.

fruitshootsandheaves · 16/06/2010 12:55

but he wouldn't be Juan Sheet then would he? He'd be Twoorthree Sheets and that just doesn't work.

PrivetDancer · 16/06/2010 12:56

but surely these sheets of god know what are far less environmentally friendly? reminds me of a report about charmin toilet paper - it is so strong it doesn't dissolve in water, it stays around for ever.

I'd rather used recycled stuff once and chuck it and assume it is fully biodegradable. Or use a normal cloth you can fling in the washing machine

Sn0wflake · 16/06/2010 12:57

If you want to be green get some cloth rags (old sheet).

Saltire · 16/06/2010 12:57

My mate in glasgow calle him the "wan shite man".

toccatanfudge · 16/06/2010 12:58

agree totally = sheesh I'm a cheap skate..........but even I get mad at DS1 when I ask him to get some kitchen towel to clean something up and he grabs one sheet........duh! (in the nicest possible wa I hasten to add )

Iklboo · 16/06/2010 13:00

toccatanfudge - can you please temporarily change your name? I'm on a diet and every time I see it I think mmmmmmm....fuuuuuddddggggeeee. Not good! (I'm kidding)

toccatanfudge · 16/06/2010 13:01

just think of it as it's supposed to be Iklboo - a play on "fugue".........and you don't want to eat one of those

'tis ok - I'm about to jump in the shower and head out for the afternoon - so you'll be spared being tempted until this evening

minipie · 16/06/2010 13:02

surely if you have to mop up spill you would use a sponge or cloth?

which can be rinsed out and reused many times.

Iklboo · 16/06/2010 13:04

Ah....of course. Thank you! Craving averted

Gigantaur · 16/06/2010 13:13

well indeed a cloth would be the more enviornmentally friendly option so they can't use that as an excuse.

i think they are just nobboids.
