I am so angry!
Our next door neighbours are from Columbia and last night they annoyed the whole street by loudly blowing their vuvuzelas right throughout the entire Italy v Paraguay game.

They were supporting Italy of course (apparently Columbia and Paraguay hate eachother like England and Scotland) and when italy equalized they went mad and their vuvuzelas were so loud two car alarms went off, and woke up the baby across the road.

Anyway, what's made me cross is : after the game my DS went round and said could he and his friend borrow their vuvuzelas on Friday for the England Algeria game, and they said NO!!! They said they are having their cousins from Columbia staying on Friday, and they have a small toddler who needs to sleep to get over the jet lag. AIBU to think that's not in the spirit of football?

This aftenoon their kids have left two of their vuvuzelas out in the garden. Would I BU to nick them now, and give them back after the game?

WTF is a vulvazela?

minibmw2010 · 15/06/2010 16:13

It's that annoying horn that is making the buzzing sound during the football games at the World Cup .. so your neighbours don't want you playing it because they'll have a baby sleeping off jet lag but they woke up another neighbours baby ????

GrungeBlobPrimpants · 15/06/2010 16:27

@ Vulva-Zela

Pootles2010 · 15/06/2010 16:45

Sorry i think you're both being a little unreasonable. You complain that they're annoying the whole street, then want your kids to do the same?

And of course they're being unreasonable in disturbing everyone else, but then not wanting to be disturbed themselves. I think they should be banned outside of football stadiums personally but then i'm a grumpy pregnant woman.

Aeschylus · 15/06/2010 17:06

Of course you could get your own back and call Enviromental Health and record the noise, just because it is the WC, does not give them the right to annoy everyone in proximity

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/06/2010 17:12

Ds was given one, but we said he could only blow it when England score

No problem for our neighbours then

stubbornhubby · 15/06/2010 17:38

DS and his mate climbed over the fence and grabbed them, but unfortunately they hadn't realised that Miguel was in the garden having a smoke, and he caught them. DS escaped, but his friend is being kept prisoner and the Columbians have demanded a ransom. Apparently that's how they do things in Columbia. They also want their vuvuzelas back.

Should I tell my wife, or just go to the cashpoint and withdraw the money? Trouble is, it's a joint account.
