There are some old hands who kill threads with "Oh yawn, this has been done to death here".

Well some of us haven't done it at all. If it bores you so much, don't join the new thread.

Others say "I don't like your name," or "I don't like your thread title", regardless of the issue being discussed.

It certainly makes a noob like me feel unwelcome here. And if newcomers don't join the board it will stagnate and die.
