Stevie Wonder?

And what happened to their voices?

Tidey · 14/06/2010 10:27

One of the girls had some very fetching orange and red striped tights the other day.
I'll tell you what's worse than the clothes on Waybuloo, the singing on Nick Jr. Why can't they choose kids who can sing? horrible out of tune warbling nonsense.

Kitteh · 14/06/2010 10:27

I don't know about dressing them, but the voices are either all scottish, or canadian.. Its a canadian show, but made in scotland so one of the two.. or so i've been told.

oopsandbabycoconut · 14/06/2010 10:29

Their voicws have been dubbed over so they don't have Canadian accents - now if only they could sync the voices and lips....

Tidey · 14/06/2010 10:31

I like the way it's out of sync, it adds to the slightly floaty, other worldly hippyish aspects of the show.

ScentedLovePuff · 14/06/2010 10:37

I always find it interesting how all the little girls who are wearing dresses ALWAYS have leggings or tights under them, to prevent any inadvertant pant-flashing while doing yogo - forward planning at its best! I had always imagined their mums (doing the mum thing) and thinking "Ooh, DD might be balancing on her head on national television today....... leggings it is!"

poppymouse · 14/06/2010 11:45

Love waybuloo, what the hell is going on? It fascinates me - what is happening the crystals and the machine? It is kind of cult-y. I'd probably get into a cult if one came along, if it was like being a pipling. Hi hi!

poppymouse · 14/06/2010 11:46

AIBU to have saved loads in case of grumpy toddler before tea time?

Lovecat · 14/06/2010 13:28

DD is too old for Waybuloo so I can't comment on the clothes - but I had to post to say that Shitting Crikey is probably one of the best expressions I've ever come across and I shall now be thinking of a way to use it...

wahwah · 14/06/2010 13:32

I think tje kids look fine. Better than they dress round here in head to toe pink and spangly accessories for the girls and poxy England outfits for the boys.

minko · 14/06/2010 13:36

Waybuloo kids always look sponsored by Boden. I'm pretty sure a stylist and not their parents dress them.

makeupmummy · 14/06/2010 13:40

YANBU, what a state! I think i may have the answer too - they dressed scarily similarly to girl in DD's class and her little sis! Could it be their crazy mummy is secretly waybuloo "stylist"??

Miggsie · 14/06/2010 13:41

The CBeebies budget is so tight that the kids are dressed by their mums in their own clothes to a "brief" by the programme makers.

Ditto Boogie Beebies.

BalloonSlayer · 14/06/2010 13:45

I think they have to wear things without a logo on them, which presumably cuts out 80% of most kids wardrobes.

Tidey · 14/06/2010 13:46

I love the phrase 'shitting crikey' as well Is it from Brass Eye or The Day Today, something like that?

Colliecross · 14/06/2010 15:43

I like the clothes;as someone else said, the boys round here all wear fakey footie gear and the girls wear pink sparkly tat.
And wedge heels on little girls in the park - yuuuuuk.

azazello · 14/06/2010 15:49

I really like the pink dress with a strawberry on it. I browse for one for DD in idle moments...

tethersend · 14/06/2010 16:06

Ten points to Tidey

Shitting Crikey

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 14/06/2010 16:08

There is always a child wearing the strawberry dress and i'm not sure it is always the same one...

littleducks · 14/06/2010 16:30

DD was waering the same dress as a 'cheebies' girl once, not boden mind a purple striped h and m one

dexifehatz · 19/06/2010 22:48

waybaloo trivia of the day...one of the boys on the programme is in fact Kai from 'Me Too' that granny Murray thing...er...I'll just get my coat....
agree with all 'Shitting crikey' ..genius.

DownyEmerald · 19/06/2010 22:52

I thought it was a stylist, but can see if was mums then they would buy something new and stylish - I would (and dd usually wears whatever 2nd and 3rd hand unless its a special occasion).

MiladyDeStillSoddingWinter · 19/06/2010 22:53

Another vote for Boden.

DS is horribly afraid of the children on Waybuloo.

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 22:54

loving shitting crikey

I always think its parents who know their kids are going to be filmed so try too hard with the old boden or range of Next trying to be boden outfits

MiladyDeStillSoddingWinter · 19/06/2010 22:55

Just read OP properly and at Stevie Wonder!

imamissandamummy · 02/10/2010 20:00

omg just seen this, i love the clothes the kids are wearing on waybuloo... theyre continental styles and funky. better than some of the clothes you get here that make little girls into little women. the kids on waybuloo often look catimini inspired to me, and as for the leggings under the dresses? - try anywhere but uk - its the norm!
