We are passholders to Merlin, and I said when we got them, the advantage of having them is that I don't have to always go for a full day and can just go along for short periods.

Now as is normal in my life, all my weekends since the parks opened have been occupied.

Well the dc have nagged me to take them to Legoland tomorrow. I've agreed, but then realised one of them has a golf lesson booked in the afternoon.

Now due to Legoland being an hour and 3/4 away, we could go in time for opening, but would have to leave after 'only' 3hrs 15 mins in park.

AIBU to still consider going, dh says I am, I said he doesn't have to come!

It was the youngest one, and he did, after the older ones had nagged me, and I already agreed, he then said 'Don't I have golf then'. D'oh!

On the contrary, that's what annual passes are for. We often do this - but we live 30min away. Yours Is a very long journey for a relatively short visit.

We used to have season passes when my older children were target age. We would often go for just one hour. I can't stand queues, so 5 - 6pm in termtime was my favourite slot.

That is plenty of time I'd say, it really isn't that good. My DC are 3 and 10. The older one found the rides babyish and the youngest was too small to go on the rides he would have liked. Go to Chessington instead, it's ace!

We did stuck in a queue of traffic for two hours (weekday at three no reason at all) just outside of Windsor so do prepare for that happening but otherwise three hours is ample. Quite nice food in the castle too, it isn't all bad.

I don't see why not. If you have passes and plan ahead you can again soon enough.

We have passes for London Zoo and went in the other weekend saw the gorrilas and the komodo dragon and left - 30 minutes tops (mind you we only live 20 mins away)

YANBU, that's why you have a season pass. We went for 90 mins on Fri, but we do only live 10 mins away. Just make sure you get there before 10am to avoid queues.

You'll either get stuck in traffic and be late or miss the golf lesson or spend all that time queing and only go on a couple of rides
either leave golfing ds behind or let him miss a lesson

Top tip is not to arrive via M4 junction 6......there are other ways.

The other thing about Legoland is that it isn't that big. We went a couple of months ago when the park was empty, and we literally did everything we wanted to do within the first hour. We stayed for 5 hours in total, but most of that was spent on lunch, the show, the rat trap and maze, and miniland.

Leaving golfer behind not an option, only cause his siblings wouldn't go without him, as they have a very strict idea of fairness. I bought them up too well!!!

Its probably worth knowing that a triathlon is due to be held in Windsor tomorrow morning. This might have an adverse affect on the traffic and therefore limit your time even further. HTH

Well pointed out maclover, although the swim bit is 06.00-09.00ish so most of the bikes should be clear of Legoland fairly promptly (they come back into Windsor via the Ascot Road).

Yes Iwish, because they are funny, because they are always think of consequences, and fear that if they went with out him, i could easily turn round when another one has an activity, and they would say 'oh but they will be therefore 4 hours, therefore it was longer' etc, (they are only so good thinking of themselves, but they are pedantic in their fairness, drives me insane!!!)

Blimey! Mine are only 4 and 2.

I can't imagine them being able to be so thoughtful towards each other!
