well yes of course i bloody am.

But i want to see just how long (or quick) it takes HQ to delete this thread.

Im getting really bored of seeing disablist comments being left for frikking ages and yet anything sexist, racist, homophobic etc it is pulled straight away.

the comments on the FB page are some of the most offensive thinsg i have ever read and yet they are left to stand for hours.

We have journalists that crawl all over anything and having comments like that stand means that quite soon we could end up with a quote like "MNers believe that all disabled children should be killed at birth"

It is not on HQ. i am really quite upset about it

This is her blog if you're interested:-

thevoiceofreason-ann.blogspot.com/

Now never speak of her again.

I'm considering blocking her on facebook like that Bertil idiot, but she is occasionally amusing.

Hi all,
Of course we'll delete these posts from our Facebook page and then work out how to delete her this poster from our FB friends.

For reference if you flag something on Facebook it goes to Facebook not to us.

Sorry we've been slow to act - we hadn't seen any of it. Always best to post on Mumsnet and then report it if you need us to see something quickly.

Many thanks.

scanty · 10/06/2010 21:38

know it's hard but if other posters totally ignored her with no replies, she would be so enraged, she would probably explode (literally). She obviously craves attention and you are playing into her hands. Report her comments by all means but IGNORE her.

OMG just read the threads on FB. Absolutely unbelievable. I'm all for people having an opinion but what has been said by that vile woman is just beyond belief. I'd love to be able to ignore someone like that but she has just got completely under my skin and I am seething. MNHQ need to keep more of an eye on FB, if someone from MNHQ is reading this thread then please do think about what is being said on FB: if MNHQ are going to censor threads on here then it should (although I know that FB works differently so it probably works differently) apply the same rules to FB. Nobody should be made to feel belittled by someone else - MN whether it is here or on FB should be looking to make sure that whilst it provides a forum
for challenging discussion it's users do not overstep the mark into the downright offensive. It's people like that awful woman who stop others from being able to really address the subjects that we need to discuss as parents.

Rant over (and I'm pleased that I managed to refrain with great difficulty from swearing as that is what I really want to do!) !!!!!!

JustineMumsnet · 10/06/2010 22:40

Ezma there are literally thousands upon thousands of posts per day on Mumsnet and hundreds more on Facebook. We simply don't have the resources to watch everything. Our policy is to look as quickly as possible at reported posts. In other words we require Mumsnetters help - if you see something untoward you need to report it to us so we can act

Mumsnet has always been self policing in this way - to some extent the whole community moderates and that's the only way a board the size of ours can realistically work. So thanks to all who do flag things up for us -unfortunately in the case of Facebook that means reporting it to us on Mumsnet.
Cheers

i wonder if the people who are so quick to say ignore, would feel the same if it was thier child she thinks should be dead.

GypsyMoth · 10/06/2010 22:46

Jesus Christ....I don't know what to say... Even on a wind up, typing those words should make anyone feel sick. They made me feel sick reading them.
