In wanting to show my dh a bit of appreciation

Yes this is a thread about a thread. A poster wishes that her dd becomes a lesbian because all men are bastards, basically.

Well they're not. My Dh is kind, loving, responsible, hard working and I think that we're lucky to have each other.

I bet there are loads of lovely dp/dh out there who are obviously being tarred with the same brush as the cock lodging, womanizing, lazy, brigade.

Yeah, my DH is lovely, and my two adults Dss are pretty good to their partners too. Especially DS1.

JuicyLips · 09/06/2010 15:34

my dh is nice too. I have a lot of lovely male friends as well.

PigletJohn · 09/06/2010 15:50

No you are NB at all U

don't let the chronic moaners have it all their own way.

MrsC2010 · 09/06/2010 16:45

My husband is AMAZING. I'm very lucky, and tell him so all the time. (And vice versa bless him.)

Mingg · 09/06/2010 16:47

Ditto

My dh is FANTASTIC and I love him to bits. My eldest ds (20) is in a respectful, responsible, loving relationship. Some men are horrible but so are some women. I agree, we should give those who are having a bad time hope that will one day meet somebody lovely too

BosomsByTheSea · 09/06/2010 16:48

My DH is a total superstar too .

munchkinland · 09/06/2010 16:51

I like this thread a lot - My DH is absolutely the most gorgeous, sexy, loving, funny, supportive & a million other good things man in the world.
He is fantastic and I love him lots...Forever

RooBear · 09/06/2010 16:52

my DH is wonderful, pulls my chair out every night at dinner, opens doors, makes me breakfast in bed and hes only 22!

nickelbabe · 09/06/2010 16:52

My DF is amazing too. ex was a tit, but his new GF can't see that, so maybe he's mended his ways!

DF can't do enough for me, and is so lovely and sweet.

ginnybag · 09/06/2010 16:53

Mine too, although I sometimes complain.

If my daughter finds a man as nice, I shall tell her she's a very lucky girl!

lamplighter · 09/06/2010 16:54

And so is mine - sweet, kind, loving and I totally adore him and I tell him. He even lets me warm my cold feet on his tummy!

sweetheart · 09/06/2010 16:58

it's my wedding anniversary today - 9 years and still blissfully happy. We have the day to ourselves on Saturday to celebrate and I can't wait to spend a day just me and my lovely dh. He is such a special guy, puts up with all my crap and he's an amazing dad!

AgentZigzag · 09/06/2010 17:07

Aye, mine's really lovely too.

He's also hardworking/responsible etc, doesn't hassle me about anything or judge me, he's a brilliant Dad, and right manly too

Being together makes us better people (I was going to say but I'm not embarrassed or ashamed to say that I think he's a great bloke)

MrsGangly · 09/06/2010 17:21

My husband is lovely too.

He tells me every day that I am gorgeous even though I know I currently look and feel like a hippo (33 weeks pregnant!).

He works hard and is excited about leading and caring for his wife and family.

He's looked after me through 6 months of hyperemesis.

I think he'll be a great father.

nickelbabe · 09/06/2010 17:24

mrsG

PigletJohn · 09/06/2010 17:27

same here

I'm fantastic and kind and my DP is very lucky to have me.

I'm always telling her

myfirstbump · 09/06/2010 17:32

Can I put a vote in for my DH?

He's gone back to work today after 2 weeks paternity leave, in which he was an absolute superstar. He did all the household stuff so I could concentrate on DD, cooking, washing, cleaning, mopping up my tears, even checking my stitches when I wasn't brave enough

And he's handsome and funny and patient and strong.

All this man-love is making me quite teary

zisforzebra · 09/06/2010 17:33

My DH is brilliant too. I frequently thank my MIL for doing such a great job of raising him. I hope I can turn out my DSs half as well. I'll have two very lucky daughter-in-laws if I can.

Alouiseg · 09/06/2010 17:47

Lol @pigletjohn.

dh is fab. We've been through a lot, and he's been such a source of strength throughout. He's kind, fair, decent, got so much integrity, and is funny, clever, and gorgeous to boot.

hatingmyjob · 09/06/2010 17:49

Another fab DH here. He is hands on with the kids. He does as much as me around the house and considers this totally normal.

He is funny, he remembers things I like for months and then buys them for birthdays/christmas.

He tells me every day, with feeling, that he loves me.

He is a fine example to my DS and my DD of how a husband/father can be.
