To have lost the vibe with my Vibe?

I just don't get it!

I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. 4 month old is now too big to lie down flat; he is simply too long for the lie flat mode. His legs are getting kicked by my toddler and he is almost slanted backwards with the blood rushing to his head!

It is also too hot for him with his brother on top as no air is let into the baby part with plastic at the back and toddler seat on top.

Since he cannot support his head yet, he is however still far too young to sit totally upright in the main part with his sister in the toddler seat below or in the seat below with his brother on top. So what do I do when my very expensive Phil & Ted turns out to be useless for the next couple of months? Or am I just not understanding how to use it??

My DD had her feet trampled on for a couple of months. Got my then 2yrs old to do a bit more walking. Think about a wrist strap if that concerns you. The phil and ted has a few flaws. Like the lack of sun shade.
Can you put the little one at the bottom and support his head with a rolled up blanket?

amidaiwish · 09/06/2010 13:50

i would change it now to 2 upright seats. You may need to use a head hugger or a rolled up blanket to support him, keep the seat reclined for now, i hated my P&T sport for a couple of months when dd2 was this age, but soon found it brilliant again.

The bottom seat says from 6 months?? Is it ok for them to sit up with a head hugger?? Thought it was bad for breathing/back development etc..

I like that I managed top post 3 times even though I changed a word mid post before it was sent?

amidaiwish · 09/06/2010 13:59

mine were ok, but you have to decide yourself.
try him in the top seat with it reclined as much as you can. Get your ds to nip in and out of the back seat if he is cramped. this will really only be for a few weeks then it should all be fine again.

AvadaKedavra · 09/06/2010 13:59

ohhhh not a rabbit type thread then...

Firawla · 09/06/2010 14:00

you can put him in the back seat, if he needs head hugger then put that, i had to put mine in that seat @ 3 months cos he is big
you can recline it a little bit, unzip it @ the sides

I was expecting a rabbit type thread too...........most disappointing

NetworkGuy · 09/06/2010 15:49

I guess there might be more readers in the Products category for this type of Vibe.

As it happens I just found a pile of Vibe packs in my garage. In my case it's the brand name for some mobile covers with carrying strap (in my case for Nokia 8310, the tiny phone with FM radio as seen in one of the Terminator films, so rather dated!)

tryingtobemarrypoppins2 · 09/06/2010 17:28

???

I was thinking a head hugger may help?

Well, I can't speak for anyone else but my mind is certainly putting a kinky spin onto the most innocent of statements at the moment.
