Police helicopter is hovering over a near by estate? It's been around for about 10 minutes now. It's such an unusual occurrence - we sometimes get it going over as we are a shortcut to the M6 but it doesn't usually stay! Can't hear any sirens either!

Really, it should have a sign on it saying why for people like me.

Can't provide an answer but I did take some pleasure when a police copter hovered over my former very quiet rural village. The local ASBO lout who had been making our lives a misery with threats and abuse, had been up to his old tricks I surmised as he ran across the muddy field opposite my house. The copter landed, a PS got out and chased him... and floored the bugger with a rugby tackle!

I knew the local bobbies and their opinion of ASBO lad, who'd given them no end of grief, and almost cheered as they led the mud-soaked little so and so away.
