DH picked DS up from school yesterday, DS in is reception.

It was the first day back.

The teacher tells DH that DS has been feeling ill since playtime/dinner. (DS said that some big guy 'found him' in the playgroud upset )

So his teacher says DS spend the whole afternoon in the 'play area' trying to slkleep on the bed.

Why not call us to get him?

Hes now off school - beeb vomiting all night

I think they should have rung you. My friends dd walked round with a broken wrist for a week because she fell at school and her parents weren't told.
Hope he gets better soon.

Should have phoned you .
Tell them ( nicely ) that you would wish to be called if this type of situation ( ie seems unwell and no improvement after an hour ) again .
Or maybe ask what their policy is ?
And the tell them your preference .
( I'd be well p*ed off in your shoes, but of course you can't show that .)

THe school should definitley have called you. He spent the afternoon trying to sleep? He could have done that at home. Poor DS, hope he feels better soon.

I would be having words with the school.

OMG thats awful

I just don't understand why they would prefer him to lie in the corner of a classroom than call us and let him go home and get some medicine and comfort?!

Dh rang and told them we would like to be informed in the future if he is ill, the receptionist said she is suprised we weren't as they usually do with the younger ones.

Hey ho.

Hes feeling better now.. a morning of fruit loaf, orange juice and cbeebies in bed is definatly helping
