please help re cafcass

Can anyone help? Form last year I have been meeting my child at a caffcass office ever fortnight for an hour on a weekday, for at least six month so they can observer and write a report. Then the court ordered me to meet my child at a contact centre since January 2010 I have been meeting my child at a contact centre every fortnight for 2 hours. Today I got a court date for next week. Can anyone tell me what the court can order? I want my child to come and stay with me at least for the weekend and holidays

From my very little experience (I did supervise some contact visits at one point) the court could decide to permit unsupervised contact, or continue as things are. If they permit unsupervised contact then that may have limits put on it as to for how long a period of time it could be on each occasion... or it may be unlimited amount of time.

Has a mediator been involved?

Dp is going through something similar at the moment and at the last court hearing the judge ordered a mediator to come in and try and resolve the situation first and get an idea of what each parent was proposing. Then they go away, write yet another report and probably set another trial court date for access if a compromise can't be reached.

My dp is getting unsupervied access to his son though so don't know if the above would apply if you are having to have supervised access for whatever reason.

In most cases unless there is a danger to the child, the NRP will usually get every other weekend and halh of all holiday's. (or at least this is what we've been told)

thank you for your feed back i have had mediator the child i 8years my case is clean no violence on abuse etc but the chils has been brain washed a lot becases the cafcass report was not ready the court ordered to move to a contact center for 3 month but the court date came today after 6 month
