The "cunting" has been taken out of hte thread title. I wasn't asked, or informed.

Cunting sainsburys was NEVER censored.

WHY is it ok to change MY thread title withotu even asking me? Or informing me?

I'm really annoyed and was giong ot de-reg in a fit of pique but thought I'd better count to 100 first

I don't understand why people whine about censoring thread titles when they are allowed to say whatever they want in the threads themselves. It is, IMO, a nice middle ground between "censorship" and offending people. Thee are lots of words that we self-censor ourselves on so as not to offend people, so why not thread titles?

agree with soapy entirely. love swearing, use cunt when need arises etc, just think that using cunt in thread titles and names is attention-seeking and bad manners. it's like your right to swear (about what, a cake, a bank, a supermarket) is more important than the general harmony of this place. people use cunt in the certain knowledge that it will offend many people, i don't really understand why.

i'm not for censorship either, really, so this is tricky, but i can't see why self-censorship doesn't come into it. we can swear in the threads, why is it such a big deal to swear in titles? seems a bit teenage to me.

i can't really believe that people become enraged by the word cretin, for example, but i know that they do here because of its historical roots in SN. so i don't use it, because why would i want to upset people when i have fifty other words at my disposal and - crucially - i don't actually want to upset people?
