I am so cross!

I started teh "i fucking hate my fucking cunting electric oven" in a rage

YES it was ott, but hell, I was very angry.

The "cunting" has been taken out of hte thread title. I wasn't asked, or informed.

Cunting sainsburys was NEVER censored.

"nothing tastes as good...." =- op was asked to change title, she refused, title stayed.

WHY is it ok to change MY thread title withotu even asking me? Or informing me?

I'm really annoyed and was giong ot de-reg in a fit of pique but thought I'd better count to 100 first

but I am very and DISAPPOINTED HQ

Have to admit to being a little surprised at that thread title the other day, perhaps because I'd certainly not write it here (probably nowhere else, either!)

As for differentID comment regarding some possible change in policy at MNHQ - my immediate thought was that there may be some turnover or new members of staff, and someone new just didn't do the e-mail notification / request.

I find it refreshing that this forum allows swearing, even if many people can happily live without needing to swear except during extreme situations... Have not thought an oven would cause that level of anger, but have to defer to those who are more frequent oven users!

redredwhine · 06/06/2010 21:18

I think it's a shame that a slang name for such an essentially beautiful and womanly body part should be used as a swear word. Demeans us all IMO.

scottishmummy · 06/06/2010 21:26

doesnt demean me in the least speak for yourself.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 06/06/2010 21:38

Beautiful? Love, it's many things but beautiful aint on the list.

Genitals, male and female, look like they were designed after the good lord had been on the sauce.

NetworkGuy · 06/06/2010 21:41

May be true of men (looking ridiculous) but women are beautiful ... all over.

RedBlueRed · 06/06/2010 22:02

what are you after NetworkGuy?

scottishmummy · 06/06/2010 22:18

ach cain dont be like that!t'was nice post

RedBlueRed · 06/06/2010 22:23

I was joking, thought the slitty eyes gave that away. Should have added a Soz

cyteen · 06/06/2010 22:28

My favourite thing about this thread is that, amid all the fucking cunting swearing, the OP's initial statement is "I am so cross!"

tethersend · 06/06/2010 23:43

redredwhine, it's not a bad word, it's the best word for a bad thing.

I am proud of it.

MotherJack · 06/06/2010 23:51

MamaG... it's been ages since we conversed! And now, to your utter shame, I see you are using gender specific abusive in your thread titles now (should you be in any doubt as to what some c*nt might have complained about. )

redredwhine · 07/06/2010 07:25

tethersend, but why use the name for a part of the female anatomy as an insult? Why is cunt a worse insult than calling someone a prick or an arse. This could be seen as demeaning to women. Surely insults should be gender neutral.

pagwatch · 07/06/2010 07:31

but that is the point - why should it be seen as worse. I should be able to put prick or cock or cunt in my title and they be equal. Cunt shouldn't be seen as worse.

redredwhine · 07/06/2010 07:53

pagwatch, thanks for clarifying that. So this thread is a collective campaign to install the word cunt as a culturally legitimate addition to the socially acceptable lexicon of insults/oaths in a patriachal society?
That's OK then. Thought it was just a cunt rant .

Gibbon · 07/06/2010 08:01

I am it was removed, esp as you said, there is a cunt titled thread in MN classics?

More surprised MNHQ did not inform you tbh.

And who are all of these people that feel the need to complain? If you don't like it, hide it.

PS welcome home Pag you saucy minx you

pagwatch · 07/06/2010 09:02

er, no. I refuse to accept any responsibility for the intention of the thread nor any conclusions reached by anyone posting or reading its contents..

I actually wouldn't use cunt or fuck or such like in a thread title.

But you can't argue that you don't want to see cunt because it is so terrible . And then argue that it is equally awful that cunt is seen as worse than prick or cock.

I would love to argue the ramifications of the patriarchal society but I have to go and do my husbands washing.Plus I can't be arsed

pagwatch · 07/06/2010 09:03

Yo Gibb, you lusty maiden

SPBHatesFootball · 07/06/2010 09:05

pag, a prick is something you do with a needle
a cock crows

tethersend · 07/06/2010 09:10

Just to let you all know, my cunting cunt is still going strong.

pagwatch · 07/06/2010 09:12

you do what you want with yours and i will do as I chose with mine...

cunting is how posh people add up their change

tethersend · 07/06/2010 09:20

That is fucking hilarious

OliviaMumsnet · 07/06/2010 10:34

Hello,
You don't wanna flounce MamaG, not really!
Sorry we annoyed you - wasn't intentional, I promise.
I've replied on your other thread here
MNHQ

coderrooo · 07/06/2010 10:35

"on your other thread"

tee hee
you tell her OLive

Eve4Walle · 07/06/2010 10:42

Cunt is a horrible word and makes me cringe every time I hear or read it. MN were right to delete it IMHO.

McSnail · 07/06/2010 10:46

The OP should count herself lucky. On the other site I use (more than mumsnet)we can't even say 'feck' or 'tit'. Or 'twat', which is one of my favourite words.
In fact, we can't even say 'Scunthorpe', should we wish to.
Boo to them, hurrah for mumsnet and it's liberal moderation.
