YANBU - they are feckers.

LaBellaSantaCatarinadiSienna · 04/06/2010 15:37

Couldn't agree more, though I do enjoy baiting the read-receipters by reading the email using the preview pane and driving them mad thinking I haven't read their email

Coderooo · 04/06/2010 15:37

I don't need to know you found a spelling mistake in a policy. Self aggrandizing nob cheese

oh read receipts are annoying.

i've got one supplier, who isn't one of my suppliers but wishes he were, that demands a notification whenever i delete one of his shitty begging emails.
i do not sell DVDs, nor do i want to! i'm a book shop

worse is people who 'reply to all'

for example boss sends email to all staff - 'make sure i recieve xyz buy x o clock today'

kn*bhead replies - i have already sent mine

DO WE ALL NEED TO KNOW?? A*SE!

:-)

If I were the Deputy Head in my school, I would be massively pissed off at the size of my inbox. He is copied in on every nit-picking/arse-covering/point-scoring email that gets sent. And in my school, that is a lot. It drives me wild.

starzzz · 04/06/2010 15:56

Aw but I need to know when my emails (only work ones though) have been read, so when they deny receiving it, I can smugly say "yes you did recieve it, and read it on -then give exact time and date"

But thats just for important work stuff.. not my own personal emails

DastardlyandSmugly · 04/06/2010 16:02

starzzz exactly - there are so many people here political point scoring that it's good to know when/if they've read an e-mail.

I would never do read receipt for personal emails but has come in very handy when sending out invoices to customers.

When you send through the post and they say they haven't got it, theres nothing you can do but send out again recorded, but on email you can.

Do get annoed at some of the send to all emails though

Coderooo · 04/06/2010 16:54

agree on point scoring
